Tip #101: Declining the Wedding Vendors.

Hi ladies!! Today's topic will be kept short and simple BUT I still think that it is important for us have some ideas on how to politely decline the wedding vendors that we have asked their quotations from.

So, as usual us BTB[s] have always been given many choices.quotations.proposals.and whatnots. However, there is always a comparison between the many decor companies.photographer.videographer.mak andams and many more. Although given that many choices, ultimately We can only choose one for each of the categories most of the time correct?

In a way, we must also do our part to promptly reply our wedding vendor's emails and update them whether we are using their services or not. This will definitely help the wedding vendors to open up your wedding dates to other couples who might be considering their services as well.

As a matter of fact, this are all just some basic courtesy that we customers must not forget. Rather than just expecting courteous remarks and services from the vendors, we must not forget that both parties are human and this is part of their rice bowl so let's not be selfish and expect to be treated like Empress Dowager semacam jer eh korang.

Anyhoo, for me, I always find that it is very difficult for me to draft out a sentence on how to "Nicely" reject the so-called wedding vendor we have asked quotations from especially if the person we have liaise with are just super nice. Caught in the middle right?

I have tried to Google-d it but there isnt many. So here are some phrases that I have come up with that probably be useful to you BTB[s] when you want to reject the wedding vendor:

#1:

Hi,

Thank you for taking the time to promptly reply our emails/ calls. However, we have decided to move forward with another (MUA/ Photographer/Videographer/Deco Company etc) that will be better suited with our wedding theme/ concept.

Nonetheless, you will still be in our contact list and we sure do hope to work with you for any of our future events.

Hi,

We appreciate you taking the time to meet with us. However, regrettably we have decided to select the (MUA/ Photographer/Videographer/Deco Company etc) that best suited our budget. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

So, this are some of the phrases that I used when declining a vendor. It does not need to panjang berjela macam compo eh people. Nobody cares about your Gramma stories. Just always remember to keep it short and simple. And always remember to be polite, why?? Sebab...kita nak buat majlis walimatul-urus, so elakkan daripada ada salah faham atau pergaduhan. We never know who will be casting an evil eye on our wedding ceremony. So, yang penting whenever you can to always take care of what you say to the vendors UNLESS memang dorang maha biadab....den you can tell me aku pon join sekaki bedal dorang macam keropok[s].

Till then,

Loved.
